F R I L U F T S L I V :
Literally means The Outdoor Life
We've known for a while now that being active outdoors has a positive impact on our physical and mental well-being, but the Swedes take this even more seriously with their Friluftsliv.
It's deeply ingrained in Swedish culture and boils down to spending as much time as possible in nature under the motto 'there's no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing'.
FRILUFTSLIV RETREAT
Unless you're traveling to Sweden by car or mobile home, you'll arrive in Stockholm on Saturday, known as the Venice of the North! It's a beautiful city, but since your seven-day retreat focuses on nature, it's best to stay only one night and travel the next day by Flixbus (in 4 hours) to the picturesque seaside town of Västervik.
I'll pick you up there on Sunday afternoon at the station and then we'll drive to Rätö Brygga. From there, we'll take a short boat ride with my private boat to Lilla Rätö.
your Stay
You'll stay in Stuga Lagom, a simple cabin equipped with comfort but no luxury. Sheets and towels are provided. There are three rooms: two with a double bed and one with two single beds. The kitchen, bathroom with shower and an eco-dry toilet are shared.
There's also a big friendly dog named 'Bo'.
